Testimonial

Our recent sailing adventure formed part of my husbands 60th birthday celebrations where along with our son and daughter in law we spent 6 magical days exploring some of the most beautiful places on earth. The weather for the most part was great and we experienced sailing in rough 25 knot breezes to glassy conditions. There were many highlights, from taking in the breathtaking views from the lookout at Tongue Bay to swimming at Whitehaven Beach and spending the night there enjoying a few wines while watching the most amazing sunset. Snorkelling at Langford reef was so much fun and finding a turtle to explore with us was unforgettable. We also had perfect conditions while snorkelling off Blue Pearl Bay and Pinnacle Bay. We loved Stonehaven so much that we went back and spent another night there where the Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. Thank you so much to all the staff at Cumberland, from the time we booked they helped with all our questions and were friendly and extremely helpful from the moment we arrived at the marina until we left. Peter our sail guide was terrific. He patiently went through everything with us at our 4 hour briefing and quickly worked out that the best job for me was radio operator whilst enlisting the other 3 to do the more challenging tasks before sending us on our way. Our boat Latitude Lady was perfect for 2 couples with plenty of room for the 4 of us to move easily around, and being a catamaran stable enough for comfortable sailing in the conditions we encountered. It was fitted out with everything you could possibly need. Two things I would suggest to first timers like us is to definitely stay onboard the night before if you can to enable you to unpack, shop and get to know the boat before you leave the next day and whatever you pack clothes wise, halve it. I packed far too much. The memories of this holiday will last with us forever and I am already planning when we can do it all again. Geoff & Deb and Adam & Lauren Brown
